I have written an approximate 75,000 word novel about the day to day lives of small town police patrolmen of the early 1970's. I believe that the circumstances and humor are the same today as they were then.
The story is a seriocomic one of a recently divorced young officer who is fed up with everything. He is potentially suicidal and covertly writes poetry. The story opens with another officer humorously accusing him of being a ".....sucker by Proxy" for reasons explained in the opening...
