As a child, I loved to rhyme and write humorous poetry and limericks. Starting in my teens, I would ask friends and family to give me two random words and then I would write a limerick around those two words. When I was 20, I entered the Harvard National Lampoon Limerick Contest and won. The highlight of the contest was hearing Johnny Carson read my winning limerick on the Tonight Show.
